In this video, Rick and Betty have lunch at Jonathan's at Gratz Park in Lexington. Since the World Equestrian Games are being hosted in Lexington, Kentucky, from September 25 -- October 10, 2010, Rick and I wanted to show you a restaurant where visitors to Kentucky can enjoy a superb dining experience. We chose Jonathan's at Gratz Park, because the dining experience is elegant, and the food is beyond delicious. We just had a small lunch, but you can see from our experience that there is great attention paid to detail. Jonathan is well-known and respected as a chef in the Central Kentucky area. When we entered the foyer at Jonathan's, we found the atmosphere to be cozy and comfortable. The area outside the restaurant was filled with sofas, chairs, and tables, allowing you to sit comfortably, although there was no wait line on the day we were there. We proceeded to the dining room, which was nicely appointed, with fresh flowers on each table. We were greeted immediately and seated at the table of our choice. My lunch consisted of a White Cheddar Pimiento Cheese Sandwich with potato salad and a dill pickle slice. Rick dined on the Turkey Brie Peach Sandwich and Cream of Mushroom Soup. These dishes were prefaced by iced tea and hot rolls with a sprinkling of coarse salt, corn muffins, and butter. It was Darren and Chew Kim wedding dinner at Farlington Hotel in Taiping. The setting for the dining was impressive. There are total of 10 tables for the guest. Mother, Eldest Sister, Second Aunty, Brother Alan and wife and Yin Yin Eldest Brother daughter was at the request from the Darren father-in -law to sit on the VIP table. Nice and cozy, people were courteous and friendly.

In this video Brother Echo ventures out to one of New York's most well known Raw foodie establishments, "Pure Food and Wine". PFW, is a relatively large venue with a wonderful sexy dining room dimly lit and full of feng shui. In addition to the large dining area there is an even more impressive patio area in the back. The first thing you'll notice when stepping into PFW is that the entrance is sunken and you have about 3 or 4 steps to go down before you can enter. I love this sunken segue, for me it really sets the tone that I'm stepping into a new environment and it invites one to get into the space physically and figuratively. Once inside you will notice a beautiful and large dining area with plenty of well spaced tables as well as a wine bar. PFW has all the normal things you would hear in any other restaurant, glasses clinking, people laughing, a warm smiling host but what you won't find are random smells of cooked foods coming from the kitchen. In all actuality the air inside PFW was fresh, alive and crisp which is surprising being that it is situated on one of New York's busiest streets (54 Irving Pl 17th Street).
